Description
A complete 4 stage Nano filtration system including membrane filters, valves, tube & shell heat exchanger, stainless steel centrifugal pumps, stainless steel tanks
The NF system is designed to receive fresh, UF permeate from storage tanks
(supplied by others). The permeate (supplied by others) from the UF system to a 300
gallon NF feed/CIP balance tank at up to 260 gallons per minute. At this point the
pressure is elevated to 300 - 500 psig and then fed to the membrane section where it
is processed by a 4 stage NF System utilizing spiral wound membranes. Temperature
of the product is controlled during concentration by loop coolers piped in selected
recirculation loops. The volumetric concentration of the retentate exiting the plant is
controlled via flow ratio control using magnetic flow meters on both the feed and
retentate product lines, and associated valves and controls to maintain the desired
concentration.
The system is designed for clean in place operation. CIP Chemical dosing is done
manually at the feed/CIP tank. Total cleaning time after a full day production is
estimated at 4 hours.
Previous use: roughly 20,000L-25,000L/hr of UF permeate flowing through the NF (from Ultrafiltration Skids). The NF concentrated the retentate (about 10-20% solids) at about 1000-2000L/hr which flowed to the evaporator for further concentration prior to exiting our building as concentrated pea starch waste stream. The permeate from the NF flowed to the RO system for further clarifying and onto the UV system, prior to be recycled back into the plant and/or polished water tanks for reuse.
